JNU students lead citizens' march seeking V-C's resignation over violence, fee hike

The protests over violence at JNU gained momentum on Thursday with university students' union carrying out a "Citizen March" from JNU campus to Mandi House and then all the way to the HRD ministry. Not just the violence, the students are protesting against the fee hike and have demanded V-C's resignation.

JNU students and teachers, heading to Mandi House for a protest march against the recent violence on campus, were stopped by police at the varsity's main gate on Thursday, the students said. However, the police has denied the claim and said students are being allowed to board the buses they had booked to reach the protest venue in central Delhi.
