Kangana Ranaut in BJP's 5th list, ex-Congress MP Naveen Jindal, ex-judge named too

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, former Congress MP Naveen Jindal, former judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay and actor Arun Govil were among 111 candidates announced by the BJP in its fifth list for Lok Sabha elections. Former judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay and actor Arun Govil were among the candidates in the BJP list.

While Kangana Ranaut has been fielded from the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh, which is her birthplace, Naveen Jindal, who quit the Congress and joined the BJP earlier today, has been given a ticket from the Kurukshetra seat in Haryana. 

Actor Arun Govil, who essayed the role of Lord Ram in the popular TV series Ramayan, has been fielded from the Meerut Lok Sabha seat.

Former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay got a ticket from the Tamluk seat in West Bengal.

Video: Vijay takes oath as Tamil Nadu CM amid loud cheers and chants

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony.
