Karnataka ventilator scam real or fake?

After claiming alleged mismanagement of the coronovirus crisis by the Yeddiurappa government in Karnataka, now the Congress is alleging that BJP government is involved in multi-crore corruption related to purchase of Covid related items.

Congress accused Yeddiurappa government of purchasing ventilators at inflated prices. Congress claimed that Tamil Nadu purchased ventilators at 4.78 lakh rupees per ventilator while the BJP govt paid between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 18 lakh for the same ventilator.

Congress also came out with a list of spendings and alleged that a scam of Rs 2000 crore took place. The opposition has demanded a judicial inquiry into the purchases.

Meanwhile, Yeddiurappa govt has rubbished the corruption charges.
