Manipur mother fights for justice after son shot dead by CM's son in 2011

Irom Chitra Devi is fighting for justice for her son Irom Roger, who was killed in a fit of rage by Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh's son in 2011.

Chitra Devi has been in Delhi for a week, trying to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh in her pursuit of justice but of no avail so far. This even as she continues to be intimidated and threatened to hush up the case.

The victim Irom Roger, was shot dead allegedly by N. Ajay on March 20, 2011 on the outskirts of Imphal in a fit of rage.

Manipur Chief Minister says that he has handed over the case to the CBI. Chitra Devi says this is a case of murder and is seeking the Prime Minister's intervention.

The accused N. Ajay, who was jailed for 5 years, is set to walk out free now.
