Truth is my God, non-violence the means to get it,” tweeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi after being convicted and sentenced to 2 years in jail by a Surat court on Thursday in a criminal defamation case against him over a remark he made about the Modi surname. The court found Rahul Gandhi guilty under Indian Penal Court (IPC) Section 504. Section 504 of IPC defines ‘intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace.’
