NIA busts IS-inspired terror module that planned serial attacks in Delhi, UP

The NIA today carried out raids at 17 locations across Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi and busted an Islamic State (IS) inspired terror module which was planning to carry out blasts and attacks on top political leaders.
"Their targets were political persons and other important personalities and vital security installations," NIA IG said.
The level of the terror module's preparation suggested that their aim was to carry out explosions by remote control blasts and fidayeen attacks at various locations of the country.

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. The TVK managed to secure the Governor's nod to form the government after the Congress, the CPI, the CPI(M), the VCK, and IUML extended their support to the Vijay-led party for a colaition government.
