No evidence of corruption against Alok Verma: Former judge AK Patnaik who monitored probe

Former Supreme Court judge AK Patnaik, who was assigned to supervise the CVC probe against former CBI chief Alok Verma, said that the findings of the CVC probe was not his and he was only monitoring the process. He further added that there was no evidence of corruption against Alok Verma.

A day after being removed as the Central Bureau of Investigation director, Alok Verma quit the Indian Police Service on Friday.

Verma was removed as the CBI chief by a select committee comprising Supreme Court Justice AK Sikri, PM Narendra Modi and leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge.
