PM Modi condemns strikes on UAE amid West Asia war, inks defence, energy pacts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned recent strikes on the UAE during the West Asia war and emphasised that diplomacy and dialogue are the only viable solutions to global conflicts. During his visit to the UAE, he expressed gratitude to the host country for ensuring the safety of the Indian diaspora during the crisis. The high-level bilateral meeting culminated in the signing of several significant agreements aimed at bolstering strategic cooperation. Key memorandums of understanding include a framework for a strategic defence partnership, strategic petroleum reserves, and liquified petroleum gas supplies. Additionally, the two nations agreed on establishing a ship repair cluster at Vadinar and announced a five billion dollar investment in Indian infrastructure, signalling a robust expansion of economic and maritime ties despite regional volatility.
