Protesting farmers clash with cops at Delhi-Haryana border, tear gas fired

Farmers began their march toward Delhi from the Shambhu border, demanding urgent talks with the government over their longstanding issues. The protest quickly turned tense between farmers and police and escalated into a clash. To disperse the crowd, security forces resorted to firing tear gas shells after farmers attempted to breach barricades.
Haryana Police requested that farmers provide the requisite clearance to proceed. This sparked an argument between farmers and demonstrators in Shambhu.
