Republic Day violence accused Lakha Sidhana spotted in Punjab

Lakha Sidhana, who is wanted in the Republic Day violence case, was spotted at a rally in Punjab on Tuesday.

Lakha Sidhana, the gangster-turned activist, was seen addressing a rally in Mehraj village in Punjab's Bathinda. He reportedly reached Mehraj village on a motorbike and left in a car with his aides. He was welcomed by thousands of his supporters, who also raised slogans in his favour.

Delhi Police has been searching through Punjab districts to trace Lakha Sidhana who has been absconding after the Republic Day violence in Delhi when a group of farmers stormed broke barricades, clashed with the police and stormed the Red Fort.

Video: Vijay takes oath as Tamil Nadu CM amid loud cheers and chants

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony.
