Saradha scam: Calcutta HC grants bail to former top cop Rajeev Kumar

Calcutta High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Kolkata top cop Rajeev Kumar in the Saradha scam case. Calcutta High Court has asked Rajeev Kumar to cooperate with CBI. The court granted his anticipatory bail and put a condition that Kumar will have to cooperate with CBI and appear when called.

However, the Central Bureau of Investigation is all set to approach the Supreme Court against the Calcutta High Court order.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hugged and honoured 98-year-old Makhanlal Sarkar, one of the earliest and senior most members of the BJP.
