Terror plot suspected in Coimbatore cylinder blast case, CCTV footage gives fresh twist

A 25-year-old man was killed in a gas cylinder blast in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore on Sunday, October 23. The cops identified the deceased as Jameesha Mubeen who was quizzed by NIA in 2019. The cops also recovered low-intensive explosive materials from his house. Now, CCTV footage has added a fresh twist to the case.

Footage showed four men carrying an item wrapped in a sack outside Jameesha's residence on the day of the blast. Sources said that Tamil Nadu Police suspect that Jameesha was not working alone as previously thought. One of the people seen in the footage has been detained for questioning, sources said.
