A leopard sighting triggered panic in Ghaziabad’s Govindpuram area on Wednesday morning after the animal was spotted inside the premises of Greenfield Senior Secondary School, officials said. According to police, the school guard noticed some suspicious movement around 7 am on the G-Block campus and immediately alerted authorities. Teams from Kavi Nagar police station and the forest department rushed to the spot and began efforts to secure the area. School authorities declared a holiday soon after the sighting, ensuring that students did not enter the premises. Forest officials said movement of the animal had not been confirmed for several hours and verification was underway while teams continued to monitor the situation.
