Watch | Nirav Modi's bungalow demolished by authorities using explosives

Authorities in Maharashtra's Raigad District demolished fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi's bungalow using explosives. The bungalow was located in Alibaug.

Nirav Modi is wanted for defrauding Punjab National Bank (PNB) to the tune of Rs 13,000 crore. Modi's uncle Mehul Choksi is wanted in relation to the scam as well. Both of them have fled the country.

Nirav Modi had permission to construct only on 376 sq metres. However, the bungalow was constructed on area exceeding 1081 sq metres. The swimming pool on the first floor of the bungalow itself had an area of 1000 sq feet.

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony.
