Mother's Day 2026: Aashka opens up about mom guilt and balance
Aashka Goradia Goble says motherhood changed how she approaches life, work and leadership after welcomed her second child with Brent Goble. On Mother's Day, she says women do not have to choose between family and ambition, while acknowledging the realities of balance and guilt.

For Aashka Goradia Goble, Mother’s Day is not just about celebrating motherhood but also acknowledging the emotional strength, resilience, and balancing act women navigate every day. As the actor-entrepreneur, who also co-founded beauty brand RENEE Cosmetics, bravely welcomed her second child with husband Brent Goble, she says motherhood has completely reshaped the way she approaches both life and leadership.
MOTHERHOOD CHANGED HER LEADERSHIP STYLE
Aashka shares that becoming a mother made her more intuitive, patient, and emotionally aware as a leader. Earlier, she viewed decisions largely through a business lens, but motherhood taught her to think more deeply about people, emotions, work culture, and long-term impact.
Aashka shares that becoming a mother made her more intuitive, patient, and emotionally aware as a leader. Earlier, she approached decisions mainly through a business lens, but motherhood taught her to think more deeply about people, emotions, work culture, and long-term impact.
She believes motherhood also strengthened her ability to trust her instincts. According to her, growth does not always have to come at the cost of balance, and women should not feel pressured to sacrifice one part of their identity for another.
BALANCING ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND FAMILY LIFE
Talking about balancing parenting with running a growing beauty business, Aashka admits that every day looks different. Her mornings usually begin with family time before she moves into product discussions, strategy meetings, and work commitments.
One important lesson motherhood taught her is the value of being fully present. Whether spending time with family or focusing on work, she believes complete attention matters more than trying to do everything at once.
She also highlights the importance of support systems, saying asking for help is never a weakness. According to her, having the right people both at work and at home makes balancing multiple responsibilities easier.
‘WOMEN DO NOT HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN FAMILY AND AMBITION’
Reflecting on her journey of building a business while navigating motherhood, Aashka says there were moments of exhaustion, self-doubt, and emotional pressure. However, she believes those difficult phases also shaped her resilience and confidence.
Looking back at the past five years, she says she feels proud not just of professional milestones, but also of the journey itself. According to her, women are capable of being nurturing mothers and ambitious entrepreneurs at the same time.
On Mother’s Day, her message to aspiring women entrepreneurs is simple: stop waiting for the perfect time. She believes motherhood and entrepreneurship are both journeys filled with uncertainty, growth, and learning.
MOM GUILT IS REAL, BUT IT SHOULD NOT DEFINE MOTHERHOOD
Aashka also speaks openly about the guilt many working mothers experience. She admits there were moments when she questioned whether she was giving enough time to family or enough attention to work.
Over time, however, she realised that motherhood is not about perfection. Instead, it is about love, emotional presence, and intention. She says she wants her children to grow up seeing a mother who is passionate, hardworking, fulfilled, and emotionally present.
For Aashka, success today is no longer defined only through achievements or business growth. It is also about building a happy family, creating meaningful memories, and finding joy in both motherhood and ambition.
