Court finds 6 guilty in 2010 Kerala palm chopping case

A special court in Kerala found six people guilty in the 2010 palm chopping case. On July 4, 2010, the hand of professor TJ Joseph was cut off by members of the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI) after he was accused of insulting Islam in an examination paper.

On Tuesday, the court convicted six and acquitted five others. The special NIA court will pronounce the quantum of punishment tomorrow at 3 pm.
