It is International Yoga Day and celebrities including Malaika Arora, Rakul Preet Singh and Shilpa Shetty shared inspirational posts on social media to commemorate the day. Let's begin with Malaika. The 46-year-old actress, who swears by yoga and practices it regularly, posted a short clip on Instagram in which she discussed how yoga has changed her life.
"People who know me, they know that every day is International Yoga Day for me. Not a lot of you know this but yoga helped me through some of the toughest moments of my life - Both personally and professionally. And I'm not talking about just yoga asanas, I'm taking about leading my life in a way that I focus on the positives, be grateful for the life I have, the people I have in my life and work every single day to get better at it. Yoga has taught me all this," Malaika said in her post.

June 21 also marks Father's Day apart from International Yoga Day, and Shilpa Shetty posted a video of her "family yoga session" with her husband, industrialist Raj Kundra and their son Viaan. "I truly believe, the family that eats, prays, and practices yoga together... stays together," Shilpa said in her post.
In a separate post, Shilpa shared a short prayer, "Asato Maa Sad-Gamaya, Tamaso Maa Jyotir-Gamaya," and said, "Swasth rahiye, mast rahiye. Yoga ko apnaiyye kyunki yoga se hi hoga."
Milind Soman, who is a staunch fitness enthusiast, shared his definition of yoga on Instagram. "#Balance, being in the moment, #mindfulness and #peace is #yoga for me. Happy yoga to all," Milind said in the caption of his post as he wished his fans and followers on International Yoga Day.
Rakul Preet started off International Yoga Day by practicing the Urdhva Dhanurasana. This asana improves flexibility and benefits the spine.
"TRUE YOGA is not about the shape of your body but the SHAPE of your LIFE , it's not about touching your toes but what you learn on the way down .You can't always control what goes on outside but you can control what goes on inside. Sink into the stillness and celebrate this union of mind, body and soul to self reflect and vibrate at the highest frequency of life at all times," Rakul Preet said in the caption of her post.
