But last week's sustained drama was something special even for that troubled state: desperadoes declaring the birth of Khalistan, yet another commando entry into the Golden Temple, a split in the ruling Akali Dal, MLA's going into hiding in neighbouring Himachal Pradesh, more than half the members of the Barnala faction ending up as ministers.
