This India Today Mood of the Nation special broadcast, conducted in collaboration with C Voter, presents findings from a survey carried out between July 1 and August 14, 2025. The program examines India's political and economic climate, including public sentiment regarding the tariff war with the United States. Survey results indicate that 63% of respondents are concerned about the impact of high tariffs on India , with a majority supporting a firm stance and believing India should negotiate without compromise . The poll also reveals that 69% of the public supports India continuing to purchase Russian oil in its national interest. Economically, unemployment is identified as an issue, with 72% of respondents viewing it as very serious or somewhat serious , and it is considered the biggest failure of the Modi government. Politically, the survey projects the NDA securing over 320 seats if elections were held today, though the BJP would not achieve a majority on its own.
