Amid the roaring buzz around Ramayana, Adipurush has quietly started trending again on social media. The first glimpse, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, has set off chatter online, with users quickly revisiting Om Raut’s film starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon. After the makers of Ramayana released the two-and-a-half-minute teaser, Adipurush began trending on platforms like X, with users commenting that the "bar for Ramayana was embarrassingly low."

Social media is filled with memes and parody content that juxtapose scenes from Adipurush with those expected from Ramayana, often highlighting perceived flaws in Adipurush's VFX, cinematography and performances.

Some posts have been critical of director Om Raut and the film’s lead actors. One user mocked Saif Ali Khan’s portrayal of Ravana, writing, "Anything is better than this tbh (sic)." Others contrasted the portrayals of Lord Rama by Ranbir Kapoor in Ramayana and Prabhas in Adipurush, using captions like, "What I ordered vs what I got (sic)" to express disappointment.

Another meme commented, "For those who think Ranbir is not looking like LORD RAM, then you deserve Adipurush (sic)," reflecting the divided opinions among viewers.

These reactions have contributed to Adipurush trending once again, despite its release almost two years ago.

Take a look at some of the reactions below:
