Daadi Ki Shaadi: Riddhima Kapoor Sahni debuts in Kapil Sharma, Neetu Singh's comedy
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is all set to make her acting debut in Kapil Sharma and Neetu Kapoor's upcoming family-comedy Daadi Ki Shaadi.
The first look of Daadi Ki Shaadi was released on April 10, offering a glimpse into a family entertainer filled with humour, drama and heartfelt moments. The film blends an engaging mix of laughter and emotion, centred on the dynamics of family life.
The poster features a colourful ensemble including Neetu Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni in her acting debut alongside Sadia Khateeb among others, while highlighting a floral, celebratory theme.
The makers unveiled the first poster announcing the film's quirky title and its release date, May 8, 2026. Daadi Ki Shaadi showcases legacy, comedy and family emotions. The upcoming film explores themes of human relations, chaos, secrets and unconditional love.
Produced by Rtake Studios, BeingU Studios and Shimla Talkies Production, Daadi Ki Shaadi is written and directed by Ashish R Mohan.
Neetu Kapoor's last theatrical release was the 2022 family-drama Jugjugg Jeeyo, co-starring Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli.
Prior to her debut in Daadi Ki Shaadi, Riddhima had featured in the Netflix reality show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives (2024). Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Seema Sajdeh, Neelam Kothari, Kalyani Saha Chawla, Shalini Passi and others. The series is based on the personal lives of these celebrities.
Kapil Sharma, who plays a pivotal role in Daadi Ki Shaadi, was last seen in the comedy-drama, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 (2025). The film featured Kapil Sharma, Manjot Singh, Hira Warina, Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati, Ayesha Khan and Sushant Singh. The ensemble was also supported by actors Vipin Sharma, Akhilendra Mishra, Smita Jaykar, Supriya Shukla, Jamie Lever, Yashpal Sharma and Asrani.
The teaser release date of Daadi Ki Shaadi has not yet been announced.
