Amid the ongoing 'Sardaar Ji 3' controversy, singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has put to rest rumours about his removal from the upcoming film 'Border 2'. Diljit shared a video from the sets, where he can be seen filming a dance sequence for the highly anticipated war drama.
In an exclusive interview with India Today, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President BN Tiwari confirmed that the ban on Dosanjh has been lifted in terms of this project. Producer Bhushan Kumar requested him to allow Diljit to shoot, citing financial loss if he were to be replaced, he said.
However, the controversy is far from over.
As per producer Ashoke Pandit, also advisor to FWICE, Bhushan Kumar assured the film body that they will never cast Dilfit Dosanjh in future films. “He will be issuing a letter on the same to the federation."
