The portrayal of intimate scenes in films has often been a subject of discussion, and actor Annu Kapoor has now shared a candid account of his experience. The actor revealed that there have been instances where male actors lost control during such scenes and continued even after the director cut the scene.

Speaking on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube show, Annu recalled an incident where an actor got carried away while filming an intimate sequence. He said he had witnessed situations where actors became overly involved and did not stop immediately when instructed, adding that some individuals tend to take advantage of such moments.

Annu Kapoor on intimate scenes

“I have seen actors get aroused during intimate scenes and not stop, even when the director says cut. Many take advantage of such situations, but I have never done that. During one such scene, the hero got carried away. Even after ‘cut’ was called, he didn’t stop. The actress had to struggle to get away and run off. She was so shaken that she didn’t step out of her room for two days,” Annu said.

While he did not name those involved, he mentioned that the female actor would corroborate his account if needed.

Opening up about how intimate scenes were handled in earlier times, Annu reflected on the lack of safeguards on film sets and stressed the importance of professionalism and consent.

“There were no intimacy coaches back in our time. There were moments when people would take advantage of the situation during rehearsals. I’ve always been mindful, using certain cues to understand the timing of a scene and when to stop, so it can be completed smoothly in one shot. At times, I’ve also checked in with my co-actor, simply asking, ‘Are you okay?’”

On Priyanka Chopra in 7 Khoon Maaf

The veteran actor also reflected on his experience of working with Priyanka Chopra in 7 Khoon Maaf, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. He revealed that a kissing scene was part of the script, but Priyanka was not comfortable performing it.

“Vishal said the scene was written for a reason and couldn’t be removed. Later, his team informed me that she wasn’t comfortable. I didn’t create any issue, but somehow the news spread. I have always handled such scenes professionally. If an actress feels nervous, I simply ask if she’s okay. I don’t ask anything more because that could make her more uncomfortable,” he added.

Shocking recall

Recounting one such episode, Annu said the male actor continued even after the shot had ended, leaving his female co-star distressed. He shared that she had to struggle to disengage and was so shaken by the incident that she stayed in her room for two days. While he did not name those involved, he mentioned that the actress would corroborate his account if needed.

Previously, during the same interview, Annu addressed the controversy around his “dudhiya badan (milky body)” remark about Tamannaah Bhatia, saying it was intended as a compliment. He added that he would touch her feet if she felt bad.

The remark was made during a 2025 interview with India Today’s sister channel, The Lallantop, while discussing Bhatia's performance in the song Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2.
