Choreographer Saroj Khan laid to rest at Malad cemetery in Mumbai

Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan died of cardiac arrest at 1:52 am on Friday (July 3). She was admitted to Bandra's Guru Nanak Hospital on June 20 for breathing problem. She was also tested for coronavirus, the reports of which were negative.

Saroj Khan was laid to rest in a cemetery in Mumbai's Malad at 7 am on July 3. As soon as the news of Saroj Khan's death surfaced, Bollywood celebrities started mourning the death of the veteran choreographer on Twitter.

Akshay Kumar wrote, "Woke up to the sad news that legendary choreographer #SarojKhan ji is no more. She made dance look easy almost like anybody can dance, a huge loss for the industry. May her soul rest in peace."

Riteish Deshmukh also condoled Saroj Khan's death on Twitter. He wrote, "Rest in Peace Saroj Khan ji. This loss is immeasurable for the industry & film lovers.Having choreographed more than 2000 songs she single handedly changed the landscape of how songs were shot. I had the pleasure of being Choerographed by her in Aladin. One tick off my bucketlist."

Saroj Khan had a career spanning over four decades and had some iconic dance numbers to her credit. Some of her famous songs include Ek Do Teen, Chane Ke Khet Mein, Dola Re Dola and Dhak Dhak. She last choreographed Madhuri Dixit's Tabaah Ho Gaye from 2019 film Kalank.
