Hrithik Roshan's birthday poem for son Hridaan is love-wrapped in emotion
Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan shared special posts as their son Hridaan turned 18. Hrithik revived a 2021 poem that described his emotions as a proud father.
Actor Hrithik Roshan shared a note for his son Hridaan Roshan on his 18th birthday, revisiting a poem he had written for him in 2021 and saying it felt just as meaningful now. The post marked Hridaan’s entry into adulthood, with Hrithik writing about his vulnerability, resilience and calm spirit.
Hridaan's mother, Sussanne Khan, also marked the occasion with a video montage of the youngster and a note welcoming him into adulthood. Both posts focused on the qualities they said set him apart as he turned 18.
Hrithik Roshan’s message
Calling himself “no poet”, Hrithik, in his note, wrote about a kind of strength that, in his words, is quiet but steady. He described Hridaan as a “peaceful warrior” and said he had seen his resilience repeatedly.
“I’m so proud of the vulnerability you wear so openly, but right behind it – there exists a second skin, resilient, unshaken. It's easy to miss. But I’ve seen it – again and again. You are a raging fire... behind calm eyes. You are a yoddha of a different kind. Not loud, not restless – but steady, aware and deeply strong. A kind so rare it often has me bewildered. A peaceful warrior. This world needs more of them. The world will test you. But I already know how you will meet it. Happy 18th my son. I love you (sic),” he wrote.
In his note, Hrithik said the poem he had written in 2021 still felt relevant, and used it to write about the way he saw Hridaan as he stepped into a new phase of life.
Sussanne Khan’s post
Sussanne Khan also shared a montage of pictures of Hridaan on his birthday and wrote a note for him as he turned 18, welcoming him into adulthood.
She wrote, “You’ve got the most Unbelievable Bright Heart that i have ever seen.. what you see through your lens is so UNIQUE.. Happy happiest 18 Th birthday my Hridaan Jaaan see the world through your lens and I know you will add your magic to it wherever you go. WELCOME to Adulthood.. from here to beyond Time.. spread your goodness and individuality Near and Far I am always with you relentlessly. love you beyond words.. and so so proud to be your mama(sic).”
Hrithik and Sussanne married in December 2000. They welcomed their first son, Hrehaan Roshan, in March 2006, and their second son, Hridaan Roshan, in May 2008. The couple separated in 2014 after 14 years of marriage.
Hrithik’s birthday note and Sussanne’s message marked Hridaan’s 18th birthday, with both posts centred on his entry into adulthood and the qualities they said defined him.
