Veteran actor Jackie Shroff has opened up about son Tiger Shroff’s recent box office struggles, saying that success and failure are beyond an actor’s control. Reflecting on Tiger’s career graph and the setbacks he has faced in recent years, Jackie said the actor remains focused on working sincerely and leaving the rest to the audience.

Speaking to Mid-day, Jackie shared that the unpredictable nature of the film industry is something every actor eventually experiences. “Life is such that these things are not in our hands. You have to work hard. Sometimes you will get results, and other times you won’t," he said.

The actor further shared that Tiger continues to stay positive despite a series of underperforming films. “We are actors, we have to go through everything. Tiger knows it. He says, ‘I will work sincerely. The rest is up to the audience.’ That [approach] is fantastic. He will be okay,” Jackie added.

ABOUT TIGER SHROFF

Tiger Shroff made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with Heropanti, directed by Sabbir Khan. The film also launched Kriti Sanon and emerged as a box office success, helping Tiger build a strong fan following, particularly among younger audiences inspired by his martial arts skills and fitness routines.

Following his debut, Tiger went on to headline action films like Baaghi, which later became a successful franchise. He also starred alongside Hrithik Roshan in War, one of the biggest box office hits of 2019.

However, the actor has struggled at the box office in recent years. Films such as Heropanti 2, Ganapath, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Baaghi 4 failed to perform commercially. His last major hit remains Baaghi 3.

Tiger will next be seen in Lag Jaa Gale, directed by Raj Mehta. The film also stars Tabu, Vidyut Jammwal, Janhvi Kapoor and Kunal Thakur in key roles.
