At a time when everyone is hailing Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao for pulling off a perfect thriller, a Hungarian artist has accused the makers of the film of plagiarising her work.
Inspiration - a word that has been over abused in Bollywood. If a few music composers pick up the notes from a popular Hollywood song in the name of inspiration, the uncanny resemblance between two characters in a film is hard to ignore at times. For the lack of creativity and original ideas, filmmakers often copy a scene frame-to-frame. But this so-called inspiration is not just restricted to plotlines and songs. Even film posters are not spared.
And the latest example can be seen in Judgementall Hai Kya poster. At a time when everyone is hailing Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao for pulling off a perfect thriller, a Hungarian artist has accused the makers of the film of plagiarising her work. Flora Borsi, a photographer, has called out Judgementall Hai Kya makers for "shamelessly" using her work without taking her permission. The uncanny resemblance between Flora's picture and Judgementall Hai Kya poster cannot be ignored. However, this is not one-of-a-kind incident. Bollywood has had a long affair with plagiarism.
JALEBI: In September 2018, the poster of Mahesh Bhatt's Jalebi also made news for its uncanny resemblance to an iconic shot - Korean War Goodbye Kiss. When Bhatt posted the first poster of Jalebi in which Rhea Chakraborty and Varun Mitra can be seen kissing on a train, it indeed looked like a copy of the Korean War Goodbye Kiss shot.
