Twitter thinks Priyanka Chopra admitted SRK is her ex. Here's their story

Priyanka Chopra recently appeared on the US chat show Dirty Laundry, where she was surprisingly candid about her past relationship. She showed a jacket belonging to an ex boyfriend that she still wears. "It stopped being his after he had stayed back at my house once," she said. Priyanka added that he had asked her to return it, but she refused.

Soon, Twitteratti started speculating that the jacket belonged to Shah Rukh Khan, who Priyanka has been linked with in the past. Photos of Shah Rukh wearing a similar jacket were used to support their observation.

The two first worked together in Farhan Akhtar's Don in 2006, and an excited Priyanka could hardly believe that she was working with King Khan. SRK was also all praise for his co-star.

Four years later, Don and his "junglee billi" came together again and began shooting for Don 2 in Berlin. The same year, on Koffee With Karan, Priyanka couldn't stop blushing at the mere mention of SRK's name. "I want to know everything about Shah Rukh Khan," she gushed during the rapid fire, choosing him as the "Khan of all seasons." However, according to the grapevine, she was in a relationship with Shahid Kapoor at this time.

By 2011, Priyanka and Shahid had reportedly called it quits and SRK helped her heal her broken heart. Priyanka came to promote her film 7 Khoon Maaf on his show Zor Ka Jhatka and when asked what she would do if SRK was one of her husbands, she blushed, "He would probably be the only husband I wouldn't kill."

The rumours of Priyanka and Shah Rukh's alleged affair was gaining momentum, and Gauri was reportedly not too happy. Apparently, the star wife threw a party and invited Priyanka, but gave her the cold shoulder throughout.

Though they denied all rumours of an affair, SRK and Priyanka's proximity was reportedly growing. In 2012, when Priyanka was spotted coming out of his office at 3am, gossip columns had a field day speculating the nature of their relationship. Both actors later clarified that they were rehearsing for the Zee Cine Awards, but the rumours refused to die down.

Priyanka's "friend" told a tabloid that if the star wives were "insecure," they shouldn't blame her for it. The friend also seemingly slammed Karan Johar ("a powerful producer-director who can make and break careers in Bollywood") for trying to target Priyanka. Karan tweeted, "Using their hired PR machinery, and hiding behind so-called 'friends' to get news into tabloids is nothing but spineess and lame!!! Some people need to wake up and smell the KOFFEE!!! Get a reality check before it's too late!!! Grow up, and don't mess with goodness," but did not confirm or deny that the tweet was meant for her.

Just as suddenly as the link-up rumours had started, they stopped. Shah Rukh Khan had a third child, AbRam, in 2013 and Priyanka was no longer a constant fixture in his life.
