And now, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is all set to bring the life of Sanjay Dutt on the big screen with his upcoming film Sanju.

And with the much-awaited trailer out, here's a look at who's playing what in the Dutt biopic.

Anushka Sharma's character was the last to be unveiled. The 30-year-old actress will be seen in a cameo in the biopic. So what exactly is her role? "Anushka Sharma is basically me and Abhijat Joshi in the movie. She plays a biographer in the movie. Sanju narrates her his story and tries to convince her to write a book on him. But the twist is that she does not want to write it! In real life, Sanju was telling me and Abhijat his story and convincing us to showcase everything in the film. We were also like biographers. So Anushka is basically me and Abhijat while making Sanju," Hirani said at Sanju trailer launch.

Sonam Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut with Ranbir in the 2007 film Saawariya, is reuniting with the actor for Sanju. She will play one of Sanju baba's many love interests in his life.
