Vada Chennai first-look posters out: Who is playing what in this Dhanush film?

Vetrimaaran and Dhanush are gearing up for the release of their upcoming film Vada Chennai this September. Now, the makers are releasing the posters of all the lead characters. It is reminiscent of Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

Andrea as Chandra: Andrea Jeremiah plays the role of Chandra, who looks like the wife or girlfriend of Ameer's character in the film. Dhanush tweeted every poster with an intriguing caption that gives a clue about the particular character. For Andrea's poster, Dhanush wrote, "The silence of the sea is fiercer than the roar of the fire."

Samuthirakani as Guna: 'The taste of blood is insatiable' - this is the caption given to Samuthirakani's Guna. Looks like Guna is the villain; the most evil one among the gangsters in Vada Chennai.

Kishore as Senthil: Every epic has a Brutus. Looks like Kishore's Senthil is the one in Vada Chennai. His caption goes, "Betrayal is the fruit of greed or greed is seed of betrayal or hunting down the tiger needs more than courage." This could also mean he is the one who hunts down the Vaali of Vada Chennai.

Pavan as Velu: We then have Velu, played by Pavan (who is known for his role Out in Polladavan). Velu looks like a man who holds family above everything. At least, that's what the caption suggests - 'Nothing is worthy to hold above family'.

Daniel Balaji as Thambi: Daniel Balaji, who has worked with Vetri and Dhanush in Polladavan, is playing a role called Thambi in Vada Chennai. Looks like Thambi is haunted by some kind of guilt in the film. Dhanush wrote for him, "The blood in hand will eat the soul."

Aishwarya Rajesh as Padma: Aishwarya Rajesh, who is the love interest of Dhanush in the film, is named Padma. The caption 'Valour is of the mind and not of gender' suggests that Padma is one strong woman.
