Aarti Ravi's mother says grandson faced stress during actor Ravi Mohan dispute
Aarti Ravi's mother Sujatha Vijaykumar has publicly answered Ravi Mohan's allegations and said the family held back because her grandson is under stress during his Class 10 examinations. Sujatha Vijaykumar, the mother of Aarti Ravi, has publicly responded to allegations made by Tamil actor Ravi Mohan, saying the family has chosen not to escalate the matter because of the emotional impact on her grandson. Speaking to ETV Bharat, Sujatha said the ongoing controversy surrounding Ravi and Aarti’s separation had placed significant stress on the child, who is currently appearing for his Class 10 examinations.
“The reason I am not exaggerating this is that my grandson is writing his 10th standard exams and is under a lot of stress due to this issue,” Sujatha said. She added that the child had witnessed situations “he should not have seen at a young age”, and stressed that the family was trying to avoid worsening the situation publicly.

At a recent event, Sujatha addressed several claims made by Ravi during his press conference about his marriage to Aarti. Referring to an old interview published in 2008, she claimed it revealed: “who got blackmailed and who cut their wrists to get married”.
She also denied Ravi’s allegation that he had been paying Rs 25,000 every month towards her medical expenses. Rejecting the claim, Sujatha said that even if such support had been given, “it would be his duty as a son-in-law”.
On Ravi’s remarks about members of the Tamil film industry allegedly supporting Aarti, Sujatha defended the backing her daughter has received. She said many people in Tamil Nadu speak up when they feel injustice has been done to women and added that the family trusted the legal process.
What did Ravi Mohan say during his press conference?
During his media interaction, Ravi spoke about difficulties in his marriage and alleged that he was being prevented from meeting his sons. He also claimed that cyberbullying had affected people close to him, including singer Keneeshaa Francis, who recently indicated she was distancing herself from the actor.
Ravi further said he had entered the marriage against his parents’ wishes and was “paying the price” for it now.
How did Aarti Ravi react?
Soon after Ravi’s remarks, Aarti shared a strongly worded message on Instagram, warning against mistaking her silence for weakness. Her post received support from actor-politician Khushbu Sundar, who described Aarti as a “lioness with her cubs”.
The divorce proceedings between Ravi and Aarti are currently under way. The couple married in 2009 after dating for several years and have two sons together.
