Viewers waiting to watch Drishyam 3 at home will be able to stream the film soon after its theatrical run. The Mohanlal-starrer, which released in theatres on May 21, 2026, has kept interest high over its digital debut as it continues its run on the big screen. The release date also coincided with the actor's 66th birthday.
Unlike the first two films in the franchise, however, the third instalment has opened to a mixed response from critics and theatregoers.
As confirmed by the platform itself, the film will be officially released on Amazon Prime Video. The platform has confirmed that it is the film's official streaming partner, although the makers and Prime Video are yet to announce an exact OTT release date.

Prime Video earlier confirmed that Drishyam 3 will arrive on its platform once its theatrical run ends. A theatrical film typically makes its OTT debut within six to eight weeks, and according to The Economic Times, the film is likely to begin streaming by the end of June or in early July. There is, however, no official confirmation yet on the exact date.
The OTT update has remained one of the main points of interest for viewers who would rather watch Mohanlal's latest release from home. Even as the film continues in theatres after opening on May 21, 2026, the wait for a confirmed streaming date goes on.

Drishyam 3 is set after the events of the second film and brings Mohanlal back as Georgekutty. In the latest chapter, Georgekutty is now a successful film producer. He and his family are trying to move on from Varun's death, but the emotional burden of that episode continues to follow him.
At the same time, Varun's parents and the police join hands in an effort to gather evidence against Georgekutty and bring him down. The case linked to Varun's death remains at the centre of the story, while the past continues to shape the lives of Georgekutty and his family as they try to move forward.
The film follows both these strands closely, placing Georgekutty's personal strain alongside the renewed attempt to build a case against him. The narrative keeps returning to the lasting impact of the earlier incident, even as his life appears to have moved in a different direction.
Box office
Despite the mixed reviews, Drishyam 3 has posted strong numbers at the box office. The Jeethu Joseph directorial earned Rs 100 crore worldwide within the first 58 hours of release. The film crossed Rs 170 crore in six days worldwide.
