Fans mob Ram Charan at Peddi event in Bengaluru, pull injured hand

Actor Ram Charan was mobbed by fans during the pre-release press meet of Peddi in Bengaluru, where Shiva Rajkumar and Janhvi Kapoor were also present. The gathering turned chaotic after several fans tried to get on to the stage while the guests were interacting with the audience.

Ram Charan's security struggles as crowd surges onstage

The incident took place while Ram Charan was signing a cricket bat for a young fan. As more fans attempted to force their way on to the stage, the situation became difficult to control, and videos from the venue have since gone viral on social media.

In one of the videos, female fans can be seen trying to get on to the stage while a bouncer pushes them away. The visuals appear to show the women being handled in an inappropriate manner during the commotion.

Fans had also tried to honour Ram Charan with a garland, but the situation worsened during the rush. Ram Charan reportedly suffered an injury when a fan tried to hold him and grabbed the same hand that had already been injured during the shoot of Peddi.

Fans criticise Peddi event marketed as AR Rahman concert

A section of X users has criticised the event marketed as a free AR Rahman concert, which reportedly turned out to be a promotional event for Peddi. An X post read, "#Peddi team marketed & bluffed the audience at the Bhopal event as if it was a free AR Rahman concert. People who attended are openly posting their disappointment on Instagram. Why our Telugu paid media is not covering the other side of reality (sic)."

Another user wrote, "This how #Peddi team pulled Bhopal crowd using Instagram influencers and campaign projecting it as #ARRahman Free Concert One of page - explore_Bhopal See their video before promotions and after reaction... Even page admins got frustrated and posted, see other people comments too...(sic)."

One of the attendees shared an X video from the concert and wrote, "AR Rahman Concert me gana sune gayi thi Rai Rai ra ra sun ke aa vapas aa gayi (Went to watch AR Rahman concert, instead came back after listening to Rai Rai Ra Ra)...(sic)."

An X comment also read, "Bhopal people were disappointed. People expected musical magic but got Peddi promotion instead (sic)."
