Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is celebrating 38 years of marriage with wife Suchitra and marked the occasion with a heartfelt post that has won over fans. Sharing a romantic picture from New York, the actor reflected on their journey together, writing that even after nearly four decades, their relationship still feels new.
On Tuesday, April 28, Mohanlal posted a picture with Suchitra on Instagram as the couple posed next to the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island in New York Harbour. Along with the photo, he wrote a sweet note for his wife.
“38 years later and somehow, it still feels like the beginning (sic),” Mohanlal wrote in the caption.
Mohanlal and Suchitra got married in 1988. She is the daughter of late Tamil film producer K Balaji. The couple has two children - Pranav and Vismaya. Their son Pranav has also appeared in films and made his debut as a child actor in Mohanlal’s Onnaman in 2001.
The actor has been making headlines recently for his unexpected meeting with American DJ duo The Chainsmokers in Dallas. The duo even referred to Mohanlal as a friend while sharing a picture with him on social media. Their meeting quickly grabbed attention online, with fans reacting to the unusual crossover.
For those unaware, The Chainsmokers rose to fame with their 2014 hit song #Selfie. They are also known for popular tracks like Closer, Don't Let Me Down, Paris and Something Just Like This.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal is gearing up for the release of Drishyam 3, which is set to hit theatres in May this year. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the crime thriller also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil.
