Pawan Kalyan undergoes surgery: Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, celebs wish speedy recovery

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan underwent surgery on Saturday (April 18) after experiencing a sudden health issue, with doctors advising him to take about ten days of rest. His wife Anna Lezhneva later shared a brief update, reassuring fans that he is recovering well. Following the news, actors including Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and several others wished him a speedy recovery on social media.

Health update and official statement

The development was first confirmed through a statement issued by the Office of the Deputy Chief Minister. It noted that Pawan Kalyan had been dealing with health concerns for the past few months and fell seriously ill on Friday while attending to official duties. Following medical tests, including an MRI, doctors recommended immediate surgery.

The statement read: “Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Shri @PawanKalyan underwent surgery on Saturday evening. On Friday morning, while discussing administrative matters with his officials, he suddenly fell severely ill. He has been facing health issues for the past few months."

The statement mentioned that, on the advice of his personal doctors, he cancelled his official programs for Friday and went to the hospital. There, along with medical tests, an MRI was also conducted, and after reviewing the results, the doctors decided that surgery was necessary and performed it.

It further mentioned that doctors have advised he can resume official duties after a week to ten days of rest, though long-term precautions will be required and full recovery is expected to take more time.

Anna Lezhneva later posted on Instagram Stories, “He is recovering. All is well. Thank you (sic).”

Celebrities wish him a speedy recovery

Several celebrities and political figures shared their wishes for his recovery. Chiranjeevi wrote on X, "Kalyan Babu has successfully undergone a medical procedure and is now safe, stable, and recovering well."

He added, "As per the doctors, it may take about a week for him to return to his normal routine. There is no cause for concern. Thank you all for your love, concern, and prayers. Let us keep him in our thoughts and wish him strength, comfort, and a speedy recovery (sic). "

Allu Arjun wrote, "Wishing Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, @PawanKalyan garu a smooth recovery and continued good health. May you be back in full strength soon (sic)."

Jr NTR shared, "Wishing Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, Sri @PawanKalyan garu a speedy recovery. May you return to public service soon with renewed strength and good health (sic)."

Following the news, Sai Dharam Tej tweeted, “My dear Chinna Mama Pawan Kalyan Get Well Soon. Along with people’s love& prayers, I send my deepest love for your speedy recovery. The surgery went very well, and I hope to see you serving the people again in no time Take Care of your precious health (sic).”

Naga Babu also wrote, "Our beloved leader @PawanKalyan has successfully undergone a medical procedure and is now safe, healthy, and recovering well. He only needs a few days of rest, and soon he will return with renewed strength and energy. Let us all join together in wishing him a speedy recovery, with prayers and positive thoughts.
