Pawan Kalyan is an Indian politician, actor and martial artist. He assumed office as the 11th Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 12, 2024. Born Konidela Kalyan Babu on September 2, 1971, he is the younger brother of actors Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu, and uncle of actors Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Varun Tej, Niharika Konidela, Sai Durgha Tej and Panja Vaisshnav Tej.
As actor, Pawan Kalyan made his debut in the 1996 film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. His notable works include Gokulamlo Seeta (1997), Suswagatham (1998), Tholi Prema (1998), Thammudu (1999), Puri Jagannadh's Badri (2000), SJ Suryah's Kushi (2001), Gabbar Singh (2012), Trivikram Srinivas's Attarintiki Daredi (2013), Gopala Gopala (2015), Sardaar Gabbar Singh (2016), Bheemla Nayak (2022) and They Call Him OG (2025). As director, Pawan Kalyan has helmed Johnny in 2003.
