Ram Charan-Janhvi Kapoor's Peddi gears up for grand trailer launch in Mumbai
The makers of Peddi have announced a grand trailer launch event in Mumbai on May 18. The update adds to the buzz around Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor's film ahead of its June release.

Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is gearing up for a grand trailer launch event in Mumbai on May 18. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has emerged as one of the most anticipated Indian releases of 2026.
The makers recently shared a new promotional glimpse on social media while announcing the trailer launch event. Sharing the update, they wrote, “MUMBAAAIIIII, Remember his name #PEDDI, he is coming.”
Backed by Vriddhi Cinemas in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers, Peddi has been generating strong buzz ever since its announcement. Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also stars Jagapathi Babu in a pivotal role, while Shiva Rajkumar will be seen in a cameo appearance. Actor Divyendu Sharma also features in the film.
Every promotional asset released so far has drawn significant attention online. While the teaser, posters and songs have received appreciation from fans, some content has also sparked criticism and discussion on social media. The first single, Chikiri Chikiri, composed by AR Rahman, crossed over 200 million views across platforms. Another track from the film, Rai Rai Raa Raa, also gained traction among audiences.
Ram Charan was last seen in Game Changer, directed by S Shankar. The political action drama featured the actor in a dual role alongside Kiara Advani and was released amid massive expectations. While the film opened strongly at the box office and drew attention for its scale, performances and political backdrop, it received mixed responses from audiences and critics and tanked at the box office. Following Game Changer, Ram Charan shifted focus to Peddi, which marks his first collaboration with Buchi Babu Sana.
Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru. The film will be released in North India by Jio Studios following the success of Dhurandhar and Raja Shivaji.
The film is scheduled to premiere worldwide on June 3, ahead of its theatrical release on June 4.
