
Prithviraj wraps Varanasi schedule, earns cheat meal, kicks off release countdown
Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has completed a major shooting schedule of the highly anticipated film, Varanasi, by SS Rajamouli. The actor celebrated with a cheat meal and announced the countdown to film's release.

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran announced the schedule wrap of his upcoming film, Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli. And with the wrap came his "well earned" cheat meal and the announcement of a one-year countdown for the mega-budget film. Varanasi features Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles.
On Tuesday, the actor shared a photo on his Instagram Story to share the update regarding the film's shoot. He thanked producer KL Narayana and shared a picture of the sumptuous spread.
Sharing the announcement, he wrote, "End of a schedule that I've worked immensely hard for! Cheat meal well earned (sic)," with three heart emojis.

With the schedule wrap announcement, Prithviraj also announced the one-year countdown for Varanasi's release. The mega-budget time travel film is all set for a grand release on April 7, 2027. "See you in theatres April 7th 2027! #Varanasi (sic)," he wrote.
The official X page of Varanasi shared a post keeping in sync with the time-travel theme. Their post read, "If we're time-trotting to a year, it's Showtime...#Varanasi (sic)."

Varanasi is a Telugu time travel adventure drama directed by SS Rajamouli, who co-wrote the film with V Vijayendra Prasad and SS Kanchi. Produced by Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business, the film is said to be made on a massive budget of Rs 1,200 crore.
While Mahesh Babu is expected to play two roles as bounty hunter Rudhra and Lord Rama, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen as Mandakini and Kumbha, respectively.
