Ram Charan completes Peddi shoot, cinematographer shares BTS pics
Ram Charan has wrapped his portions for Peddi, with cinematographer Rathnavelu announcing the update on X. The film remains in post-production after a delay, and the makers have yet to reveal a new release date.
Ram Charan has completed shooting for his sports drama Peddi, with cinematographer Rathnavelu confirming the update in a post on X. Sharing an emotional note, Rathnavelu described the film as a "memorable journey" and expressed gratitude for working with the actor.
According to 123 Telugu, the film was expected to release in theatres on June 25, 2026. However, the makers had earlier announced that the film was being postponed to allow more time for technical work and post-production, and the revised release date is yet to be announced.
Announcing the wrap, Rathnavelu wrote on X, "It’s a wrap for Mega Power Star @AlwaysRamCharan! #Peddi – A memorable journey. Working with #RC has been truly special. A powerhouse performer on screen and a wonderful friend off it. Grateful for the memories we’ve created together (sic)," while also tagging Buchi Babu Sana, A R Rahman and Vriddhi Cinemas.
Peddi postponed
The production banner, Vriddhi Cinemas, had earlier said on Instagram, "Firstly, thank you all for the wonderful response to our songs and glimpses. We’re truly happy to see the love and excitement for Peddi. The talkie part of the film is complete, and we only have one song left to be shot. We’ve seen the edit of the film, and we’re extremely happy with the output (sic)." Explaining the delay, the makers said they wanted to give their technicians more time to achieve "absolute perfection" in post-production.
About Peddi
The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. A recent poster titled Peddi Pehelwan showed Ram Charan as a wrestler and drew wide attention. According to 123 Telugu, a special song featuring Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan has also been shot in Hyderabad.
Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers. With Ram Charan now having wrapped his portions, the film remains in post-production and the makers are yet to disclose its new release date.
