A singer from the Tamil music industry recently opened up about being sexually abused by a music director, labelling him "Epstein of Madras". In the interview, she also spoke about why she moved from Chennai to Rishikesh and nearly left the Tamil music industry. She said the move came after what she described as sexual abuse by a music director.

While speaking to YouTube channel Sivasankari Talks, said the incident was not isolated and alleged that the man had followed a similar pattern with other women as well. She did not name him in the interview, but said she now wants to pursue the matter legally so that no other woman has to face the same experience.

She said the alleged abuse took place inside the music director's studio, a space she had once considered safe. According to her, the room was soundproof, locked and fitted with CCTV cameras, including hidden ones. She alleged that the act was recorded and that the footage was later used to threaten and intimidate her. "It was a soundproof room even if I screamed, no one could hear me," she said.

The singer recollected Epstein Files and said that the "music director was the king" of such acts.

She also alleged that the man built trust before exploiting it, presenting himself as a mentor, creating emotional dependence and using financial pressure to gain control. She said he would target independent women, borrow money, delay repayment and slowly take control. She further claimed that she later received messages from other women who had gone through similar experiences, and alleged that secretly recording women, and even children who came to the studio, had become "like a hobby".

She said the aftermath of the alleged abuse was also traumatic. She alleged that she was shamed, falsely accused of theft and spoken about negatively within the industry, and that the abuser's family also took part in discrediting her. She also spoke about the emotional toll, saying she isolated herself for days, underwent skin treatments because she struggled with the memory of being touched, and depended on her sister and therapy to cope. "I felt like the parts of my body he touched shouldn’t exist," she said.

She said that although she had consulted lawyers and senior officials, she did not file a formal complaint at the time because of fear and a lack of support. She said she is now determined to take legal action, not for revenge but to prevent further harm, and to ensure that no other woman goes through the same ordeal.
