In an exclusive conversation with India Today’s Anagha Keshav, the filmmaker said she has received “vulgar” and “character-assassinating” messages, calling it “awful” and “abusive.” Parasakthi, rooted in the anti-Hindi imposition agitation of the 1960s, has seen heated reactions since release.
Sudha, a self-confessed “biggest fan” of Thalapathy Vijay, added that what happened with Jananayagan “should not happen to any film.” Reiterating her belief in freedom of speech, she said she was “slandered and defamed” and is being targeted “simply because my film has been released.”
