Kareena Kapoor wore a burgundy embellished gharara with maroon dupatta designed by Manish Malhotra for the post-wedding party at Taj Hotel in Mumbai on October 16. The party was a very close-knit affair with only around 150 select guests attending it.

Kareena Kapoor made a lovely bride in a traditional gharara that her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore wore at her wedding in 1969. Designer Ritu Kumar was given the responsibility of restoring and embellishing the vintage gharara.
