PK's Dhoni connection that you did not know about

Both the Aamir Khan-starrer PK and Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni are in the news for their own reasons. The former for allegedly showing gods and godmen in bad light which has resulted in right-wing groups vandalising theatres; the latter for his decision to quit Test cricket on Tuesday for good, sending shockwaves among millions of fans.

However, what you may perhaps may not know yet is that the two have an organic connection. You saw Sushant Singh Rajput, PK's other actor, dating, serenading and even stealing a passionate kiss with Anushka Sharma, also known as the famous girlfriend of the new Test captain, Virat Kohli.

Now comes the best part: Rajput is set to play Dhoni in a biopic scheduled to be released next year. The posters of the film, to be directed by Neeraj Pandey of Baby fame, are already out. Know who plays Dhoni's wife, Sakshi? It's Alia Bhatt. The film also stars the Pakistani hearthrob, Fawad Khan.

Meanwhile, protests against PK are set to intensify across the nation with Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad asking for a ban on the film, accusing it of hurting Hindu sentiments. The film has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark and is expected to do better in the coming days. The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday exempted the film from entertainment tax, giving it a fresh boost.
