No relief for Rhea, court reserves bail plea order for tomorrow

Rhea Chakraborty will stay in Byculla jail today as the Sessions court has reserved its order on her bail plea for tomorrow. During the hearing, the NCB had pushed for Rhea to remain in judicial custody saying that the investigation into the drug case is still underway.

In her bail plea, Rhea Chakraborty stated that she is innocent and accused the NCB of "falsely implicating" her in the case. She also stated that she was ‘forced into making self-incriminatory confessions’ on the day of her arrest.

The court also heard a plea filed by Rhea’s brother Showik, who was arrested on September 4 by the NCB for his alleged involvement in the case.
