Reliance Jio Likely to Sell 5G Smartphones, to Soon Introduce 5G Technology in India

After having announced in July this year, that Reliance Jio is developing a homegrown 5G telecom solution, Jio is planning to launch a 5G smartphone for less than Rs 5,000 and later on reduce the price to Rs 2,500-3,000 a unit when it scales up the operation. The company will target 20-30 crore mobile phone users who use the 2G connection at present. Currently, 5G smartphones are available in India starting from Rs 27,000. This wireless technology is meant to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, more reliability, massive network capacity, increased availability, and more uniform user experience to more users. 5G is promised to deliver data speed at a rate 100 times faster than 4G networks.
