Covid-19 lockdown: India begins repatriation process, 64 flights carrying approx 15,000 returnees expected

An Air India flight evacuated as many as 234 stranded Indians from Singapore, the passengers landed in New Delhi on Friday. India will begin its mega evacuation process to bring back stranded Indians from abroad -- Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Germany, Spain and Thailand, official sources said on Friday.

A total number of 64 flights carrying approximately 15,000 returnees from 12 countries are expected to land in India from May 7 to 15 amid the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown. For more, watch full video.
