PM to respond to debate on Constitution on Dec 14, Opposition to move no-confidence motion against Jagdeep Dhankhar

A debate on the Constitution's 75th anniversary is due in Parliament, with PM Modi expected to respond in the Lok Sabha on December 14, sources said. Concurrently, the government is anticipated to introduce the One Nation, One Poll bill in Parliament, either in the current or upcoming session. This bill, which has received approval from the Cabinet based on the Ramnath Kovind Committee's report, aims to synchronise elections across India. If tabled, it may be sent to a Joint Parliamentary Committee for a more detailed discussion. This major electoral reform is a key project of PM Narendra Modi and aims to conserve resources by synchronising elections nationwide.
