A new episode of Battle Cry on India Today discusses the substantial order for the Light Combat Helicopter 'Prachand', a made-in-India aircraft. This order signifies a super boost for self-reliance in India's defence sector. The country, known for being one of the world's largest importers of aircraft and military hardware, is making strides towards self-reliance with this deal. The government has initiated a 45,000 crore rupee deal for over 150 of these helicopters. The Prachand, deployed in both desert and high altitude environments, is equipped with state-of-the-art avionics and electronic warfare suites.
