Donald Trump says war in Gaza is over; NDA's seat sharing for Bihar election

US President Donald Trump announced that the Gaza war has ended as he headed to Israel for his first visit since mediating the Israel-Hamas ceasefire. Trump is set to address the Knesset and later co-chair a high-level peace summit in Egypt. Speaking to reporters, he said, “The war is over,” adding that he expects the region to “normalise.”

The National Democratic Alliance has finalized its seat-sharing plan for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, signaling a power shift within the coalition. Both BJP and JDU will contest 101 seats each, unlike 2020, when JDU had a larger share. Chirag Paswan’s LJP gets 29 seats, while Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha secure six each.
