EC issues notice to BJP's Anurag Thakur and Parvesh Verma for hate speech

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to BJP leaders Anurag Thakur and Parvesh Verma for their alleged hate speeches against anti-CAA protesters in Shaheen Bagh.

In a video, BJP's Anurag Thakur while addressing a public meeting said, "desh ke gaddaron ko...," to which the crowd responded "goli maaro saalon ko" (shoot the traitors of the nation"). For more, watch this episode of First Up.
